In Psalm 127:2, the psalmist writes, "It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep." God, in His wisdom, designed us to need sleep. It is a gift from Him, a way for us to recharge and rejuvenate. By neglecting this gift, we are disregarding His provision and putting our well-being at risk.

Jesus Himself recognized the importance of rest. In Mark 6:31, He said to His disciples, "Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while." He understood the value of taking time to rest and recharge. If Jesus, the Son of God, prioritized rest, how much more should we?

  • Establish a bedtime routine: Engage in relaxing activities before bed, such as reading, taking a warm bath, or practicing deep breathing exercises.
