THE MYSTERY OF THE SAMARITAN WOMAN || PASTOR KEN PATRIC

Kind: captions Language: en One of the prophetic messages is the story of the Samaritan woman. So the Bible says that Jesus needed to go to Galilee, but he needed to pass through Samaria. Now when you go and look at the map of Israel, you realize that Galilee was at the top and where he was was uh was at the at the bottom and in between was the city of Samaria. So what the Jews used to do, they crossed the Jordan, went around Samaria and entered Galilee. They refused to step in the soil of Samaria because they believed it will contaminate them. But Jesus needed. Now that word needed, if you look at it in Greek, it means divine necessity. So it was of divine necessity that Jesus goes through that place. Okay. Continue quickly. Continue quickly. Then now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore being worried from his journey sat by the please note that there is a message what we must preach a day called the mystery of the whales there are transactions that happened specifically at the well and I will show you one of them it says Jesus went and sat at the well and it was about the sixth hour there was a reason also for being told the time let me give you that reason now the Jacob's well was the well that Jacob gave to his son Joseph so what used to happen is that the time they used to go to draw water was either in the evening or in the morning. You can check that in the old testament you realize that it was evening and they came to water. So the water was not being drawn at the sixth hour. This is what they call the high noon in in in Jewish. So what used to happen is that at this time the women were not coming for water. So when you see this woman coming for water this time, it was because she was avoiding people. Cuz if she came in the morning or in the evening, the people would be there and they would be mocking her. Now the reason for that is captured in the next scripture. Ask for a drink from me a Samaritan woman for Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Now I have to take you to the history of Samaria to understand this old message. I will not go to the depth of it but I will just tell you nuggets. Is that okay? In 7:22 BC the Assyrians beseeched Samaria and they exiled the Israelites from there to Assyria. You get that in 2 Kings 17 verse 5. The Bible says when the Assyrians came, take us there quickly. When the Assyrians came, they took all the people that were in Jerusalem, uh, not not in Jerusalem, in Samaria, and they took them to Assyria. Now, understand this. When the nation of Israel was split, there was the northern kingdom and the are you ready for history? There was the northern kingdom and now the northern kingdom had their headquarters at Samaria. It started at Shem. Then later on it was established at Samaria and they used to call themselves Ephraine. The southern kingdom had their headquarters or their capital at Jerusalem and they used to call themselves Judah. The northern kingdom had 10 brothers or 10 tribes and the southern kingdom had two tribes Judah and Benjamin. So the 10 tribes is what is being talked here that they were taken to captivity. Now the history of the day is that when this exile happens the only people that were left in the land were the poor, the sick, the limb and the weak. And also sometimes when the northern kingdom was being attacked, the people of the north would escape to the southern kingdom and then when the Assyrians left, they would go back to their land. So what happened is that the land was not being completely left without people. There were some Jews that were left. Now the Bible says the king went up throughout the land and went to Samaria and besieged it for 3 years. Continue. In the nth year of Osher, the king of Assyria took Samaria and carried Israel away to Assyria and placed them in Halal. Now after he took them away, something happened in verse 24. In verse 24, he says, "Then the king of Assyria brought people from," please write it on your book. He brought people from and number one Babylon, number two Ka, number three Ava, number four Amath and number five Sepharim. Now these five people you have written them on your book cuz we'll come to them. We just want to understand the Samaritans and John 4. Remember it is about worship, right? So these people were brought to occupy Samaria. So when they came to Samaria, these people began to intermar with the people that the Jews that were left. And when they intermarried, they gave birth to an half tribe. Half Jew and half Gentile cuz now these nations were called the Gentile nations. So a Samaritan was neither Jew nor Gentile. Are we clear? A Samaritan was not a Jew. The Jews despised her. And a Samaritan was not a gentile. The Gentile despised her. They said, "You are not one of us." Okay, now let's continue. Now, these five tribes, when you get to verse 30, they didn't come alone. He says, "The men of Babylon brought," take us back maybe to verse, let people understand, cuz now this is worship. I told you that John 4 is about worship. He says, "However, every nation continued to make gods of its own and put them in the shrines on the high places which the Samaritans had made. So the Samaritans were worshiping Yahweh, but these five tribes they brought." Now see verse 30. So the people of Babylon made so under Babylon put a hyphen right suk that is the god. The men of Kuth brought nagar put nagar under them. The men of Amad made put a shima there then and theites made neb attack put them there and the savite burned their children in the fire to a drama lake. So, five nations, five gods. Take me to the woman again. Jesus is speaking to her. Uh-huh. Continue. Then the woman of Samaria said, "How is it that you being a Jew?" We have read this verse 10. Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that says to you, give me a drink, you would have asked him, and you would have given you living water." 11 The woman said to him, "Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do you get that living water? You are greater. Are you greater than our father Jacob who gave us this well and drunk? Now this is very key apostle because the Samaritans their religion they only believed in the Torah. They never believed from Joshua going up. They never believed in the prophets. All their worship was anchored upon was the Torah. So he was trying to say you people from that other place you believe in the prophets and all of this but as we believe in our fathers Jacob continue. Jesus answered and said to her whoever drinks of this water will thirst again. But whoever drinks of the water that shall give him will never thirst. But the water shall give to him shall become a fountain springing up into everlasting life. Now see what the woman says. The woman said to her, "Sir, give me this water that I may not thirst." Ah, verse 16, Jesus said to her, "Go call." Now, the language of husband church is the language of worship. Cuz every time Israel sinned against God, God called them adulteress. For God considered himself a husband to the Israelites. So Jesus is telling the Samaritan woman, "Go and bring your husband cuz you also want me to give you water, but bring your husband." So what does she say? The woman said, "I have no husband." And Jesus told her, "You have well said, I have no husband." Continue. Who are the five husband? THE FIVE GODS THAT WERE introduced to the Samaritan So YOU ALREADY AS BUT now this husband Jesus is saying they are still not your. So for you to have an husband there needed to be a covenant to tie you together. So he's trying to tell the woman you have had five husband BUT THERE WAS NO COVENANT between you and them. Remember the Samaritan is neither Jew neither Gentile. So she has no covenant WITH THESE GODS. THAT'S WHY SHE'S STILL HUSBANDLESS. Then he says, "BUT THE ONE WHOM YOU HAVE IS NOT YOUR HUSBAND." SO SHE STILL HAD another husband. Which husband is this? This is Yahweh. So he's saying, "You say you have no husband. You don't subscribe to the five gods. You're saying you subscribe to Yahweh, but even this Yahweh is not your husband, for you have no covenant. >> You are not of the house of David. So you have no covenant. You have no Jew, for you have to be a direct descendant of Abraham. Okay. So he says, "You have spoken truly." Now let's see this. He says, "Sir, I PERCEIVE MIAO RELEASE UNDERSTANDING over your people Lord. NOW SEE THE MOMENT THAT LANGUAGE CHANGED SHE DECIDED THE PROPHETIC IT WAS NO LONGER ABOUT WATER. WE HAVE NOW ENTERED prophetic grace. Now remain active now. NOW IT SAYS I perceive you are a prophet. Continue. Our fathers worshiped here but you say that in Jerusalem is the place where one not worship. Continue. Jesus said to her woman, this is a language of intimacy. I take you to Genesis chapter 3. When God brought Eve, now Adam said, "Born of my bone, flesh of my flesh. Our name shall be. Let's continue. He says the hour is coming when you will neither worship here nor there. Continue. He never said allot. He said woman. He never said adulteress. You know you worship what you do not know. So he's saying though you come to worship YAHWEH THERE IS NO RELATIONSHIP. THERE IS NO CONNECTION. THERE IS NO INTIMACY. THERE IS NO KNOWLEDGE. Now let me take you back to Jesus. Now Jesus came. You need to understand who Jesus was cuz now the scripture starts to mirror two people in scripture. Let me have two people come in. Let me show it in scripture please. Just to let me borrow. Yes. Come. I want to show you this this this mirroring that the scripture begins. Now remember from the moment she said prophet we have entered the prophetic. Now there are two people the scripture starts to mirror. There is Abraham that's why he said our fathers and there is Jesus. So Abraham when he had a covenant with God God said I will give you a son. So who was that son? Isaac right? So this is Isaac the one that was given by the father to the fathers. And now there is the one that is sitting with the woman. Let me have a woman. I want to demonstrate it. My wife come. Let me use her. Now this is the woman. The Samaritan woman at the well. Now you need to understand that Jesus let this be the well is here at the well. The woman came for the fathers and the fathers the representation is Isaac. Now there are two sons here. There is the son that God promised Abraham and there is the son that God promised the world. So Jesus came as the fulfillment of Isaac in the new testament but now there is Isaac in the old testament. The woman is still stuck in the old testament but Jesus must bring her to the NEW TESTAMENT BUT NOW YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS TRANSACTION CAN ONLY take place at a well. And why does it take place at a well? I told you about the mystery of the well. FOR WHEN ISAAC NEEDED A BRIDE, OH, WHEN ISAAC NEEDED A BRIDE, OH, ABRAHAM SENT ELIZA AND ELAZA WENT TO a well AND HE SAID, "THE WOMAN THAT SHALL COME, I SHALL KNOW IS THE WOMAN, THE WIFE FOR MY SON." SO THIS WOMAN, JESUS ALSO NEEDED TO GO THROUGH SAMARIA, BUT NOT ANY PLACE. HE SAT AT THE WELL FOR JESUS WAS ALSO LOOKING for a bride. BUT NOT ANY BRIDE. THE BRIDE THAT JESUS NEEDED WAS NEITHER JILL NOR A GENTILE. FOR THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH FOR THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH IS NEITHER JILL NOR A GENTILE. SO THE SAMARITAN WOMAN WAS A TRUE PICTURE OF THE BRIDE THAT JESUS CAME FOR. So see this Jesus says I am here now but you need water. You have no husband. So Jesus has to start by disqualifying other husbands and position himself as a husband. And when Jesus was able to disqualify the five husbands and even disqualify the worship of Yahweh cuz she did not know who she was worshiping, the woman said, "Give me water. Feel my feel MY THIRST. BECOME MY HUSBAND NOW. BECOME MY HUSBAND NOW." Let's see what he happens. Continue now. Oh Jesus. God is spirit and those who worship must worship in spirit and truth. Continue. Then he says the woman said to him, I know you need to understand this time Jesus is not messiah. This time Jesus is son of David. And the son of David to become Messiah he must die and resurrect. But I need to tell YOU CHURCH, THERE ARE FIVE PEOPLE, groups of people in scripture that Jesus revealed himself THE MESSIAH. THE FIRST IS THE woman cuz THE ONLY WAY JESUS WOULD BECOME HUSBAND IS THAT THE WOMAN NEEDED TO meet Messiah. So the WOMAN SAYS, "I KNOW THE MESSIAH shall come and will unite us, Jews, Gentiles, Samaritans, whatever it is." Then see what Jesus says. Jesus said, "I who speak." So Jesus says, "I am the husband." Now see what the woman does. At this point, the disciples came and they marveled that he talked with a woman. Yet no one said, "What do you seek?" Continue. The woman, what a spiritual picture. When the woman met the husband and at first did not need the water pot, from this time she left a water pot CUZ FROM THIS MOMENT SHE NEVER NEEDED ANOTHER WELL. SHE HAS MET THE WELL THAT IS CHRIST. SHE HAS MET THE WATERS THAT ARE LIVING. AND THE BIBLE SAYS THAT THESE WATERS SHALL BECOME A SPRING WITHIN YOU. OH MY GOODNESS. WHENEVER YOU TH IT IS IN YOU. WHATEVER YOU NEED, IT IS IN YOU. WHATEVER YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE, IT IS IN YOU. HE BECAME WATERS OF living waters in the woman. The next thing the woman becomes an evangelist and tells the PEOPLE AND THE BIBLE SAYS THAT THE MEN OF THE city believe Jesus because of the woman. Can we pray church? Stand on your feet. I want somebody to transact with a PROPHETIC ROD AND RECEIVE GAPATAI. RECEIVE WATER. I CAME TO RELEASE WATER. LET ME HAVE MEN MAN this instrument. I want us to pray IN 5 MINUTES AND I want to release a prophetic grace over the church. THERE IS WATER. I see water. I SEE WATER. THE HEAVENS ARE BURSTING. I SEE WATER. Every dry land. Now listen. I want to give direction. Let me have someone. Yes sir. Listen. You see water in scripture is not just refreshment. Water is life. Jesus he says I'm there with living waters. Water is Christ.
