What God Thinks About You: Your Value, Love, and Purpose

What God Thinks About You

Have you ever wondered what God thinks about you? It's a question that many of us have asked at some point in our lives. We all want to know our true identity and purpose. While there are many personality tests and assessments that can help us understand ourselves better, the Bible has a lot to say about who we are in God's eyes. In this article, we will explore what God thinks about you and your identity in Christ.

You Are Valuable

God created you in His own image (Genesis 1:27), which means that you have inherent value and worth. Your value is not based on your accomplishments, your appearance, or your status in society. You are valuable simply because you exist. God created you with a purpose and a plan, and He has a unique calling for your life.

Psalm 139:13-16 says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

God knew you before you were born. He knows every detail about you, and He loves you unconditionally. You are not a mistake, and you are not insignificant. You are valuable to God, and He has a purpose for your life.

You Are Loved

God's love for you is unconditional and unwavering. He loves you not because of what you do or what you have, but simply because you are His child. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

God's love is not based on your performance or your worthiness. It is a free gift that He offers to everyone who believes in His Son, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

God's love is not based on your circumstances either. Whether you are going through a difficult season or a joyful one, God's love for you remains constant. Romans 8:38-39 says, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

You Are Forgiven

God's love for you is so great that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for your sins. Through faith in Jesus, you can be forgiven and reconciled to God. Ephesians 1:7 says, "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace."

When you confess your sins to God and ask for His forgiveness, He is faithful and just to forgive you (1 John 1:9). Your past mistakes and failures do not define you. You are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and your identity is found in Him.

You Are Chosen

God has chosen you to be His child and to be a part of His family. 1 Peter 2:9 says, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."

God has a purpose for your life, and He has equipped you with the gifts and talents you need to fulfill that purpose. Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

God has called you to live a life that honors Him and brings glory to His name. You are not called to live for yourself, but for Him. 2 Corinthians 5:15 says, "And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again."

You Are Empowered

God has given you His Holy Spirit to empower you to live a life that honors Him. Acts 1:8 says, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

The Holy Spirit gives you the strength, wisdom, and guidance you need to follow God's will for your life. Galatians 5:22-23 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

As you walk in the Spirit, you will bear fruit that reflects God's character and brings Him glory. You are not alone in your journey of faith. God is with you, and He has given you everything you need to live a life that honors Him.

You Are Secure

God's love for you is so great that nothing can separate you from it. Romans 8:38-39 says, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

You are secure in God's love, and nothing can change that. You don't have to earn God's love or work to keep it. It is a free gift that He offers to you through faith in Jesus Christ. You can have confidence that no matter what happens in your life, God is with you and He will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Conclusion

What God thinks about you is far more important than what anyone else thinks about you. You are valuable, loved, forgiven, chosen, empowered, and secure in Christ. Your identity is found in Him, and He has a unique purpose and plan for your life. As you walk in faith and obedience to God, you will discover the fullness of who you were created to be.

So if you ever find yourself wondering what God thinks about you, remember these words from Zephaniah 3:17: "The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing."
