Trusting God Through Your Tears: Finding Comfort in His Plan, Character, and Love

Trusting God Through Your Tears

Having a child is one of the most significant milestones in life, but it can also be challenging. When my first child, Luke, was born, I was filled with joy, but that joy was short-lived. Luke was born five weeks premature and was immediately taken to the NICU. For the first two weeks of his life, my husband and I did not know whether he would even survive.

As new parents, we were filled with fear and grief. We were worried about whether Luke would be able to do anything for himself and whether he would even live. However, we trusted in God, and through our tears, we knew that everything would be okay.

Trusting in God's Plan

Trusting in God's plan can be incredibly difficult, especially when we face trials and tribulations in our lives. However, as Christians, we know that God has a plan for each and every one of us. We are told in Jeremiah 29:11 that God has a plan for our lives, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

When we face difficult times, it can be challenging to see God's plan. We may wonder why we are going through what we are going through and why God is allowing us to suffer. However, we must remember that God is in control, and His plans are always good, even when we cannot understand them.

Trusting God in the Midst of Suffering

Trusting in God during times of suffering can be particularly challenging. It is easy to question God's love for us when we are in pain or to wonder why He would allow us to suffer. However, we must remember that God loves us, and He promises to be with us always, even in the midst of our suffering.

Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." This verse reminds us that God is with us, even when we are in pain. We can trust in Him to comfort us and help us through our suffering.

Trusting in God's Character

Trusting in God's character is essential when we face difficult times in our lives. We must remember that God is loving, just, and faithful. He is a God who keeps His promises and who is always with us.

When we face trials, we may be tempted to doubt God's character or to question whether He is really with us. However, we must remember that God's character is unchanging. Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." We can trust in God to be the same today as He was yesterday and will be tomorrow.

Trusting God's Faithfulness

Trusting in God's faithfulness is essential when we face difficult times in our lives. We must remember that God is faithful and will keep His promises to us. We can trust in Him to be with us always and to help us through our struggles.

Psalm 119:90 says, "Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures." This verse reminds us that God's faithfulness is eternal. We can trust in Him to be faithful to us always.

Trusting God's Word

Trusting in God's Word is essential when we face difficult times in our lives. We must remember that God's Word is true, and it contains everything we need to know about God and His plan for our lives.

Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." This verse reminds us that God's Word is a guide for us. We can trust in it to show us the way and to give us comfort during difficult times.

Trusting God's Promises

Trusting in God's promises is essential when we face difficult times in our lives. We must remember that God has promised to be with us always and to help us through our struggles.

Isaiah 41:10 says, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." This verse reminds us that God is with us always and that He will give us the strength we need to get through difficult times.

Trusting God's Love

Trusting in God's love is essential when we face difficult times in our lives. We must remember that God loves us and that He wants what is best for us.

John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." This verse reminds us that God loves us so much that He gave His only Son for us. We can trust in His love to see us through difficult times.

Trusting God's Comfort

Trusting in God's comfort is essential when we face difficult times in our lives. We must remember that God is a God of comfort and that He will be with us to comfort us through our struggles.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." This verse reminds us that God is a God of comfort, and He will comfort us through our struggles.

Conclusion

Trusting God through our tears can be incredibly challenging, but as Christians, we know that God is with us always. We must trust in His plan, His character, His faithfulness, His Word, His promises, His love, and His comfort to see us through difficult times.

As we face the trials and tribulations of life, we can take comfort in knowing that God is with us always. We can trust in Him to help us through our struggles and to guide us along the way. Let us put our trust in God and know that He is faithful to keep His promises to us.
