Christmas Solidarity: Standing Against Sin, Bringing Glory to God
The assembly line of Satan is in full swing, producing millions of sins every day. These sins are packed into cargo planes and flown to heaven, where they are spread out before God. Satan finds great delight in this, as he despises the light, beauty, purity, and glory of God. Nothing pleases him more than when creatures distrust and disobey their Maker.
But Christmas brings good news for both man and God. "The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners" (1 Timothy 1:15). This is the good news for us. But there is also good news for God. "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8).
Christmas is a call to go on strike at the assembly plant of sin. It is a call to walk away from the production of sin and to stand in solidarity against it. No negotiations, no bargaining. Just a single-minded, unwavering opposition to the product. We must refuse to be a part of making sin any longer.
Christmas Solidarity is about grounding the cargo planes that carry sin. It is not about using force or violence, but with relentless devotion to Truth, it aims to expose the destructive nature of the devil's industry. Christmas Solidarity will not give up until sin has been completely shut down.
When sin is destroyed, God's name will be wholly exonerated. No one will be laughing anymore. The victory will be complete, and God will stand glorious amid the accolades of the righteous.
If you want to give a gift to God this Christmas, walk off the assembly line of sin and never go back. Take your place in the picket line of love. Join Christmas Solidarity until the name of God is cleared and He stands in all His majesty, receiving the praise and honor He deserves.
This call to Christmas Solidarity is not just a one-time event. It is a lifelong commitment to stand against sin and to live in obedience to God. It is a call to examine our lives and identify any areas where we are still participating in the works of the devil. It is a call to repentance and a renewed devotion to following Christ.
As we engage in this battle against sin, we must remember that we are not alone. God is with us, empowering us through His Spirit to overcome temptation and to live holy lives. We can draw strength from His Word, which is a sword in our hands, capable of cutting through the lies and deceptions of the enemy.
In Ephesians 6, Paul describes the armor of God that we are to put on as we engage in spiritual warfare. He tells us to gird our waists with truth, to put on the breastplate of righteousness, to shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, to take up the shield of faith, to put on the helmet of salvation, and to take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
When we put on this armor and stand firm against the schemes of the devil, we can be confident that God will fight for us. He is our strong tower, our refuge and strength in times of trouble. He is the one who has already defeated the enemy and secured our victory through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
So let us stand in solidarity this Christmas, refusing to participate in the works of the devil. Let us walk off the assembly line of sin and never go back. Let us take up the armor of God and engage in the battle against evil, knowing that we do so with the assurance of victory.
As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, let us remember that He came to destroy the works of the devil. He came to set us free from the power of sin and to reconcile us to God. This is the good news of Christmas. Let us embrace it and live in the freedom and victory that Christ has won for us.
So this Christmas, let us give the greatest gift to God – a life lived in obedience to Him. Let us walk in the light as He is in the light, forsaking the works of darkness and embracing the works of righteousness. Let us stand in solidarity against sin, knowing that our Savior has already secured the ultimate victory. And let us rejoice in the glory and honor that will be given to God when sin is finally and completely destroyed.
